E
veryone loves a party – and in this issue we’re
indulging in party fever
.
The fashion shoot for the party issue is always a huge hit, thanks to the truly marvellous
creative talents of stylist Ingrid Keneally and the photographic skills of Melanie Adamson.
This year, we crept into the land of nod with the theme of the
girly sleepover party
– many a child’s favourite kind of party (you can read more about what to expect with your
child’s first slumber party in Dream Team, page 52). The creative team put together a beautiful setting
for the
shoot at home store Mirth
. The treats, cakes and popcorn were as tasty as they were
beautiful – I can definitely testify to that, after trying just about everything in the shoot!
We not only give you several features and round-ups that will help you
plan the most perfect
party for your child
– whether that is an old fashioned pass-the-parcel style affair, a trip to a
special show, or an event stroking reptiles – we also look at the dos, don’ts and even the whens to venture
into the world of hosting slumber parties. I’m not sure I am quite ready for the slumber party mayhem to hit
the Paleit household quite yet, but I know my boys are keen, so it will probably only be a matter of time…
And
this issue also takes us into autumn
– with the change of season and Hong Kong’s
biggest festival, Clockenflap, just around the corner, we discover just how family-friendly the event is. And we
give some tips to help family relocation go as smoothly as possible – something that so many Hong Kongers
are familiar with.
Happy reading!
